  • Sugarloaf Mountain – located in the Guanabar Bay in the Atlantic Ocean, also known as Pao de Acucar, situated at the mouth of Guanabara Bay, it is 396 m. high and is to be found between Urca’s Mountain and Babylon Mountain. The top of this mountain is reached with a cable car known. The views from the top are breathtaking.
  • Statue of Christ the Redeemer – included in the new edition of the Seven Wonders of the World. This is the second largest statute of Jesus in the world. In the area is to be seen an abundance of colorful birds and wildlife. The statue is situated at Corcovado, a 710 m high mountain and among the main icons of the city. The panoramic views revealed from the top towards the bay and the city are fantastic.
  • Maracanã Stadium – until recently the largest football stadium in the world, this is a great place to watch a football game. Right next to the stadium is available a museum, where one can trace the history of the sport device, and a souvenir shop.
